The Fan Loyalty Index is part of the Loyalty Index series,  a range of studies, activities and technology solutions  designed to help positively impact loyalty and improve customer lifetime value.

The market.

The football sector has a number of annual research documents that act as a knowledge anchor for that segment of the industry.  

Such titles include Deloitte’s ‘Football Money League’ and the Sporting Intelligence ‘Annual Review of Sports Salaries’.

The opportunity.

There is currently no such review and research programme covering fan attendance and loyalty. There is also no defined equation or formula to use such information to conclude levels of fan loyalty or robustness against it.

The Index.

The annual Fan Loyalty Index publishes a fan loyalty benchmarking score for each of the 92 English football league clubs. The score is derived for each club based upon an analysis of fan attendance data and club performances from 1970 to present, also taking into account additional factors.
